Cynthia Sampson-Files
is primarily a representational colorist specializing in brightly
colored pastel and acrylic paintings of animals. She is currently working on a pastel series of horses and pastel paintings of roosters, chickens and birds. Through
Cynthia's imagination she gives viewers a glimpse into
her world to spark their own creative journeys. She uses
color to express the excitement and wonder she feels when she
looks at life.
Cynthia Sampson-Files' pastel painting “Wild Horses” was chosen by Ste. Michelle Wine Estates in Woodinville, Washington for their new wine label “14 Hands” which will be available in April of 2005. Wildlife Art magazine will have a one page article about Cynthia's art in their May/June 2005 issue. The Pastel Journal will also have a short article about her art in their June 2005 issue. New Mexico to participate in the 2002 Trail of the Painted
Ponies for her design “Primarily Bull” featuring
portraits of rodeo bulls painted in primary colors on their running
horse sculpture. She currently has work in several galleries
in Colorado and her paintings are in corporate and private collections in New York, Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Utah and Nevada.
