Pat Sheeran/Daggett was born in LaGrange, Illinoise. She spent her childhood in the northern Illinoise area and in the eastern foothills of the Colorado Rockies. Pat studied art at Colorado State University where she majored in sculpture. A versatile artist, she works with pastels and oil. Pat feels her ten years of experience owning/managing a weaving shop and creating handwovens have afforded her an extraordinary chance to explore color. She is furthering this exploration and love of color with her art. Always interested in art related activities, Pat has worked a variety of jobs...from art supply clerk and house painter, to framer, gallery director, and as a volunteer at the Denver Art Museum. She is adamant that each of these positiions have been valuable to her career as an artrist. Pat has at times worked closely with regional Arts & Humanities organizations as well as serving as secretary and president for a local art guild. Currenty residing in Meeker, Pat teachers drawing at Colorado Northwestern Community College. Pat has fallen in love with the Northwest corner of Colorado. She most enjoys working on location and from life. Her subject matter is drawn from the landscapes and life activities she sees around her. Patricia can be reached at: |
