Karen Hall

A Colorado Native I have gazed at and spent much of my painting time at the base of the Red Rocks in Morrison. Pastel has been my medium of choice, as it lends to the natural array of color. I attended CSU and Colorado Institute of Art,with an emphasis in Fashion Illustration and Graphic Art. Later classes at Art Students League of Denver for many years by many awesome instructors.
My paintings are a reflection of the mood of the landscape or the moment a story unfolds.
A snow-boarder taking a jump off the crest of a hill at Loveland. Or Jade a cat the likes to pose with her beautiful green eyes gazing contently back at her audience. I love painting pets for people and have been lucky to paint a Boxer a Malamute a Golden Lab and some pretty cool cats.

My goal is to capture the emotion and the mood of that moment, design and color follow naturally. Be it a sunset or a barn or a man hidden in a window of a victorian house in Victor I hope to continue to capture these points in time on my canvas.
