Honey Lea Gaydos

Honey Lea Gaydos paints evocative images that are both representational and abstract inspired by ideas and experiences. Beauty, complexity, paradox, and ambiguity are themes inherent in her work. She also paints portraits that reflect her exceptional ability to see beneath the surface to the deeper meanings of facial expressions and gestures of the body.

In her career as an interdisciplinary scholar, university professor, and advanced practice psychiatric nurse, she promoted the arts in healing practices, health care environments, and research. She has received numerous awards for her teaching, nursing practice, and artwork.

Honey Lea lives with her husband in her native Colorado. In addition to her nursing degrees, she has a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is a seasoned artist who has shown and sold her work for many years through galleries and exhibitions.
