This show will feature the wonderful work of our Pastel Society of Colorado members including emerging artists through seasoned Signature and Master Signature members. All works will be completed in dry pastel and will be available for purchase. 

The show is not juried, and each member may submit two pieces. However, if there are more artworks submitted than the gallery space can accommodate, we will only be able to show one from each artist. 

The Great Frame-Up is located on Main Street in Longmont, a recognized arts district. The area attracts both locals and tourists throughout the year and will host local celebrations such as Longmont’s traditional Dia de los Muertos during the run of this PSC show, increasing foot traffic on Main Street. 

Bruce is entirely self-taught, works exclusively in pastels and has developed a unique style on French watercolour paper. His subjects range from urban scapes of Denver, New York, London and Rome and landscapes throughout the Southwest United States, including national parks from Grand Canyon, Montana, Olympic Peninsula, Canadian Rockies and out to Europe, especially Provence.

In the last decade he has turned his focus to competitive plein air painting having won Artist’s Choice, People’s Choice and Best of Show in Grand Canyon, Zion, Sedona among others – Snowmass, Grand Canyon, Sedona and Zion are on the schedule this year.

Bruce has taught workshops in Denver, Telluride, Moab, London and Italy and has been the featured judge in several national events. His works are in several international corporate collections. He has also published posters for MADD, Telluride Jazz Festival (twice), Telluride Wine Festival and Sedona Wine Festival among others.
