Registration is now open for the Doug Dawson 2-day workshop, August 4th and 5th, 2023

Doug Dawson will be teaching a two-day pastel workshop on the Western Slope in association with the PSC Members’ Show. The workshop will be held at the Glade Park Community Center, which is located at 1411 S. 16 ½ Road in Glade Park. 

This workshop will be an indoor event, and Doug’s description of the topics that will be covered include the following: how to achieve color harmony, creating exciting color, the use of color thumbnails, approaches to under-painting, separating space into foreground and background, using edges to suggest texture, and using the concept of screens to painting vegetation. There will be plenty of time to paint and it should be an enjoyable experience for all, in an informal and relaxed setting. 

Cost of the workshop will be $260 ($250 to Doug and $10 for the student’s share of the venue rental).
