Ivadell Marie grew up in Minnesota but has lived most of her adult life in Colorado (see her BIO on her website for more information). She loves photographing road trips (references for her paintings), and is frequently accompanied by her Standard Poodle Degas (yes, artists run in the family). Her studio is in her renovated brick home, with gardens & distractions.
Career
Ivadell returned to painting in 2010, choosing pastels as her medium, and finally retired from corporate life (in Information Technology). She teaches in her Englewood studio – contact her if you are interested in starting painting (even if you have never painted!) or if you have been painting and want to progress beyond where you are today.

Inspiration
Ivadell Marie’s first two pastels were critiqued by Albert Handell, who stated, “These are frameable”. And when she informed him they were painted just the week before and were her very first pastels, he walked up to her & shook her hand. Now that is an inspiration!
