Nancee Sebenaler

I don't consider myself a landscape, figurative, or any specific genre of artist because I paint whatever amuses me at the time. I paint what makes me happy and all the better if someone else enjoys a piece and wants to make it their own.

I have always loved to draw but was discouraged by my parents who felt that you can't make a living as an artist. Instead, I spent my career in industrial arts as a drafter and then electrical designer.

When I decided to pursue my passion, I took as many workshops as I could and still do. I have no formal training in art but have learned so much from the many exceptional artists who are generous to share their knowledge. The artists that have had the most influence are Margaret Dyer, Desmond O'Hagan, Mike Beeman, and most of all Karen Margulis who is the best teacher ever.
