Suzanne Owens

Suzanne Owens has been a professional artist for decades, but remains committed to, and excited about, continuing to learn and grow. And after a 10-year professional hiatus due to health issues, she is especially excited to be painting full time again. Her inspiration comes from the thousands of images she has gathered on trips across the USA and around the world, as well as from the view from her own back yard in the Texas Hill Country. "I paint man-made structures, and love to try new things," she says. "But nature is what moves me. It provides an endless supply of incredible subject matter."

In addition to her membership in the Colorado Pastel Society, Suzanne is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America, and a member of the International Association of Pastel Societies, Pastel Society of the West Coast, Pastel Society of New Mexico, Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society, Degas Pastel Society, and Pastel Society of the Southwest. She has won numerous awards for her landscapes, including the PSA's Marge Levine Memorial Award for Creative Innovation.
